Water softeners and treatment for hard Guelph water
Softeners, iron filters, whole-home filtration and reverse-osmosis drinking water systems — installed and serviced for the region's hard groundwater.
Guelph draws its water from underground aquifers, and so do Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Fergus and Elora for much of their supply. It's clean, and it's hard. That shows up as scale on kettles and showerheads, cloudy glassware, dry skin, and water heaters and dishwashers that die years early. A properly sized softener is the fix for all of it at once.
Sizing matters more than brand. A softener set up for the wrong hardness or the wrong household wastes salt and water, or fails to soften at all. We test the water, size the unit to your actual usage, install it with a bypass and a proper drain, and set it up correctly.
For rural homes on wells around Puslinch, Rockwood and Halton Hills, we also install iron and sulphur filters, UV treatment and sediment filtration. For drinking water, an under-sink reverse-osmosis system gives you clean water at the tap without cases of bottles.

FAQ
Straight answers
How hard is Guelph's water?
Very hard by any standard — well past the point where a softener pays for itself in appliance life alone. Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Centre Wellington are in the same range.
Will a softener fix my drinking water taste?
A softener removes hardness minerals, not taste or odour. For drinking water, a reverse-osmosis system at the kitchen sink is the right tool, and the two work well together.
Can you service a softener you didn't install?
Yes. Tell us the make and model and describe what it's doing; most repairs and resin replacements are straightforward.
